10+ Years Treating Athletes and Active Adults in King of Prussia, PA

Certified Full-Body ART Provider | McKenzie Method Certified (Parts A & B)

If You've Tried the Usual Approaches and You're Still Not Right

Most people who come to Keystone Spine & Sport have already done the rounds. They've rested it, iced it, stretched it. Some have done physical therapy. A few have had adjustments at other offices. The shoulder still catches. The back still seizes up after an hour at the desk. The hip still tightens three miles into a run.

The reason standard approaches often miss is straightforward: most musculoskeletal pain involves the soft tissue structures surrounding the joint, not just the joint itself. The muscles, tendons, and fascia that control movement get restricted, scar down, and stop functioning the way they should. Until those structures are addressed directly, the problem stays.

That's what Dr. Legath treats.

What Happens at Keystone Spine & Sport

Soft Tissue Therapy and Active Release Technique

Dr. Legath is a certified full-body Active Release Technique provider. ART targets the adhesions and restrictions in muscles, tendons, and fascia that limit movement and compress nerves. Paired with chiropractic adjustment and movement-based rehabilitation, it addresses the mechanical cause of the problem rather than managing symptoms.

Sports Injury Rehabilitation

From high school athletes to Olympians, Dr. Legath has worked with competitors at every level who needed more than rest and ice. His approach is movement-based and hands-on, built around getting athletes back to full performance, not just out of pain.

Chiropractic Care for Everyday Pain

Back pain, neck pain, sciatica, shoulder issues, hip and knee pain from overuse or injury. If soft tissue restriction is contributing to the problem, which it almost always is, this approach is relevant regardless of whether you play a sport.

Treatment

Treatment starts the same visit. Sessions are active and hands-on, working directly on the tissues driving your dysfunction. Most patients notice a meaningful difference within the first few visits.

Progress

Dr. Legath tracks your progress and adjusts the plan as needed. The goal is to restore normal function and reduce your reliance on ongoing passive care, not to keep you coming back indefinitely.

A Chiropractor Who Came to This Through Sport

Dr. Tim Legath, D.C. is a lifelong ice hockey player who found chiropractic through his own injuries. He graduated from National University of Health Sciences in 2014 and has spent the last decade building a practice around a simple belief: movement is medicine, and blood flow drives healing.

His full-body ART certification covers the spine, upper extremity, lower extremity, and biomechanics. He also holds McKenzie Method certification for neck and back pain, and is trained in FAKTR, IASTM, and Kinesio Taping. He holds licenses in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

He works with professional athletes, Olympians, NCAA competitors, desk workers, weekend warriors, and everyone in between, with one consistent goal: get you back to doing what you love, faster than you expected.

Common Questions

Not exactly. Traditional chiropractic focuses primarily on joint adjustments. Dr. Legath treats the soft tissue structures controlling joint motion alongside the adjustment, which tends to produce more durable outcomes for patients dealing with recurring pain or sports injuries.

No referral is required. You can book directly online or by phone.

Back pain, neck pain, sciatica, shoulder and rotator cuff injuries, hip pain, knee pain, IT band syndrome, nerve impingements, sports injuries, and general soft tissue dysfunction. If soft tissue restriction or joint mechanics are involved, which they almost always are, Dr. Legath can assess whether this approach is a fit.

Yes. A large portion of patients are desk workers, post-surgical patients, and active adults dealing with everyday pain. The soft tissue approach is relevant regardless of activity level.

It comes down to cost, access, and what actually works for most patients. Decompression tables are expensive, insurance rarely covers them, and the research on their effectiveness compared to hands-on soft tissue therapy and movement-based care is mixed. Dr. Legath's approach targets the root cause without the overhead, which means better access and more direct treatment for patients in King of Prussia. Learn more here.
